Plant of the Month: ‘ANNABELLE HYDRANGEA’

This is one of the most beautiful hydrangeas around with lime green spherical blooms that turn pure white as they mature.

The flowers are massive measuring as wide as 12” across! Annabelle starts blooming in midsummer and will keep blooming freely until frost.

Growing Conditions: They grow in full sun to part shade, performing best with dappled shade in early afternoon sun.

Size: They are a rounded shrub growing 3’ by 6” tall and wide

Hardiness: These shrubs are very hardy and cold tolerant all the way down to zone 2!

Where to Plant: This shrub is well suited for foundation plantings along the front of houses or can give structure to garden borders.

Plant Partners: Great companions are variegated hostas such as ‘Patriot’, peonies, or purple salvia.
