We have been experiencing colder temperatures and light snow flurries in our service areas throughout the day today.
Some areas have a layer of light snow, creating slick driving conditions on city streets and site throughways. We have dispatched our Salt Trucks to salt some throughways as needed.
Environment Canada is calling for flurries/squalls for the next few days. We will be monitoring sites and dispatching equipment and crews as required, depending on accumulation and conditions.
Please drive and walk with care as squalls can appear out of nowhere, creating icy and slippery conditions.
Practice Snow Safety this Winter
- If you must drive, give yourself more time to reach your destination.
- Drive according to weather and road conditions.
- Park your vehicle off the street where possible.
- Do not park in a spot that has a Snow Route, No Stopping or No Parking sign.
- Stay back at least 25 metres from snow plows, sanders and other equipment so the operator can see you.
- Stay behind snow plows. Passing a plow is dangerous.
