Our Design & Build Process

Imagine creating the property of your dreams. Gelderman’s stress-free process will allow you to sit back and watch your beautiful landscape come to life. We have a well-established process, and it’s all about you:

1. Landscape Consultation

Do you have a vision for your property but don’t know where to begin? The landscape design specialists at Gelderman will work with you to turn your vision into a reality.

We will arrange a consultation to determine your needs and objectives, and then we’ll assess your property to discuss your ideas.

2. Landscape Design

After the initial consultation, we will develop a few different concept designs, so you can select the one that best aligns with your vision. During this time, we will also discuss your budget.

3. Landscape Quote

Once we have finalized a concept, we will select all the materials and develop a planting design together. The final design will be developed in 3D CAD modelling to give you a detailed and highly-realistic idea of what the finished landscape will look like. We will provide you with an estimate and, with your approval, we will schedule your project.

4. Landscape Build

We will take care of all the final details, relevant permits, and scheduling.

During the landscape build, you will be able to sit back and see your project unfold. As part of our Red Carpet Treatment, we will minimize disruptions as much as possible.

5. Regular Communication

Throughout the design and build process, we will maintain regular contact with you. Your project manager will communicate with you about the milestones and will provide progress updates.

6. Final Inspection

Upon completion of your project, we will take a tour with you and identify any final items requiring attention. We will review your final invoice and warranty details as we wrap up your project.

Everyone at Gelderman was a joy to work with! We wanted a brick stone border put around our backyard garden bed (45 x 6 feet). Our Gelderman team was Owen ( sales) and Colby, Mike and Ethan ( the landscape magicians on site). The landscape team provided a French drain install, full grading with additional dirt added and sod. Our backyard went from a horrible eyesore with awful drainage problems and massive gaps between old “grass” and bottom of fence (where skunks routinely got in) to the beginnings of a wonderful backyard paradise that we are looking forward to expanding upon! We are very, very happy with the end result! If anyone needs to get out and “touch some grass” we will recommend our back yard! The experience with Gelderman was really great from start to finish and fast! All the team members were wonderful to work with. They were easy to talk to on site and provided knowledgable advice that we trust. We will definitely be utilizing their expertise for our next projects in the coming years!

By the end of April our garden was out of control and getting us down. Gelderman to the rescue! Phil and Milena were quick to respond when we reached out for a quote and within a week we had Tristan and Kay attacking our messy, weedy, overgrown garden beds. May 23, 2024 - We had a piping failure in a rock water feature and the piping had to be replace. A quick response from Gelderman and a creative and innovative solution to fix the problem. Thanks to Phil, Greg and Cole who did a great job!May 6, 2024 - Another successful Gelderman job. Planting 3 new Blue Spruce Trees, 5 new dogwoods and repairing some interlocking. Shawn, Justin and Misele did a great job of installation and clean-up and as always a pleasure to deal with.
